It's a stitch up

So, if someone's stabbing needles in your face for the purposes of Botox, that's going to have some form of anti-ageing / creepy freezing effect but if Daniel Kornrumpf is using needles to sew a portrait of your face, well that's just plain old timeless. I know which I'd go for.

These are a lot more expressive than those hand stitched Vogue covers by Inge Jacobsen, which were nevertheless rather beautiful. And I like that Kornrumpf's subjects veer amusingly towards the hipster nonsense.
